User Tutorial

So you heard about some mod, downloaded it, and want to install it, but have no idea what to do, well you’re in the right place.

Mods

The mod you’ve downloaded may come with different types of files, most commonly DDS, DAE, and the newer TTMP.

*.DDS – This is a texture file.

*.DAE – This is a model file.

*.TTMP – This is a mod pack file.

Ok, but what do I do with the files?

Well we’ll start with the easiest, the TTMP file.

TTMP

First, open the TexTools application.
Next, go to the Mods Menu and select Import ModPack

Now you will see a window pop up asking to select a TTMP file.

Go ahead and select the TTMP file you downloaded, and click on Open.

A new window opens up showing you what files are in the ModPack

Now click on Import and wait for it to finish, you can close TexTools afterwards.

Thats it! You're Done, go in-game and enjoy.

DDS & DAE

So the mod you downloaded comes with some files that end in DDS and DAE, here’s what you do.

The foolproof way to make sure they are placed in the right directory.

So lets say you downloaded a mod for the female version of the Acolyte's Skirt

Let's start by selecting the item, the easiest way to find it is using the search bar at the bottom of the Item List.

Textures (DDS)

Select the appropriate Race/Gender for your mod, in this case we select the Hyur Midlander Female option.

Select Export as DDS, and click on the folder icon on the far right.

That folder that opened is the one where you will place the DDS mod files you downloaded.

Now that you've placed your mod files in the correct folder head back to TexTools to import each.

Models (DAE)

Very similar to the above process but on the 3D model tab.

In the 3D Model tab, select the appropriate race/gender, click on Export Model + Materials, and then click on the folder Icon on the far right.

That folder that opened is the one where you will place the DAE mod files you downloaded.

Now that you've placed your mod file in the correct folder head back to TexTools to import the model.

You may have a warning popup like above, as it is only a warning, TexTools will still import the model, so you may safely click on OK.

Once you are done doing all your imports, you can close TexTools.

Thats it! You're Done, go in-game and enjoy.
